Aoki Laboratories Ltd. was founded in 1994 as
a supplier of high purity solder products.

Every Aoki product meets or exceeds ISO 9001 requirements. We manufacture and distribute (Pb/Sn) and Lead-Free solder bars, solder wires, solder paste, solder powders, solder anodes, Solder Anode Balls, BGA balls, soldering flux, OSP, Non-CFC cleaning solvent and other chemicals for the electronics industry. In 2005, cooperating with the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Aoki patented a lead-free solder alloy.  Our international clients include AS Rock, Canon , Johnson, Konka, LG, Mattel, Mabuchi, Philips, Panasonic, Sony, Sanyo, Solectron, Sanmina, Tamura, Thomson, TCL, … etc.

Aoki maintains R&D and manufacturing facilities in Hong Kong, as well as production facilities in southern China. We distribute the Tamura Corporation's product line throughout this same region.

Why Pb-Free?
Our Mission is to take pride in being a global manufacturer and supplier of the soldering materials On July 1st, 2006, the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) of the European Union initiated restrictions on the use of Pb-based materials in the manufacture of electronic and electronic equipment. The RoHS will have a fundamental impact on the electronics industry. It is closely linked with, and takes its scope from, the European WEEE (Waste and Electronic Equipment) Directive.

Aoki has a full range of Pb-Free Solder Pastes, Solder Bars, Solder Wires, Solder Powders, BGA Balls, Solder Anodes, Solder Anode Balls, OSP, Non-CFC cleaning solvent and other chemicals to meet the requirements of the RoHS directive. Using Aoki’s High Purity Pb-Free Solder can lead to minimized dross creation during use, increased number of solder joints per bar, fewer bridges, skips and dry joints with improved wetting capability. Aoki Laboratories Ltd. was established in April 1994 as a manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of solder products, including solder bars, solder wires, solder pastes, soldering flux, cleaning solvents, chemicals etc.  We dedicated in providing excellent customer service and suitable soldering products to our customers.  Thanks to the efforts of our experienced staff, the Company has enjoyed sustained business growth and expansion in the past years.
In 1996, Aoki engaged in R & D and productions of our own brand of soldering products. Our major products include (Pb/Sn) solder bars, solder wires, solder anodes, BGA balls, soldering flux, Non-CFC Cleaner and other chemicals for the electronic manufacturing industry.  We moved into a 10,000 square feet facility in Hong Kong, starting to cast solder bars and produce all sorts of soldering materials.

In 1997, Aoki set up a 3-storey factory in Shenzhen, China, occupying over 30,000 square feet production facility.  It included a series of state-of-the-art production facilities and instruments. Meanwhile, we introduced the solder wire production lines with a capacity of 30 tons per month in our Hong Kong plant.  Moreover, our solder bar productivity has substantially increased threefold.
In 1998, we installed 4 solder bar production lines in our China plant with a capacity of 8 tons per day.  An additional line has also been established which was specially designated for the production of non-CFC cleaning solvents.  Our products were granted with the Q-Mark label from the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council of the Hong Kong Federation of Industries.

In 1999, Aoki achieved the ISO-9002 certificate from the HKQAA and later we granted to represent Tamura of Japan to promote its products in Hong Kong and the South China region. The ISO certificate symbolized a milestone in a continuous programmed of product innovation and quality awareness. We also teamed up with the City University of Hong Kong to produce lead-free solder alloy on a joint-venture basis. By the end of the year, we started producing lead-free soldering products with a separate production line.
From 2000 to 2004, we became a multinational group targeting the markets in Asia, Europe and North America. With a diversified marketing strategy, we were recognized as a leading supplier of solder products worldwide. We became a company recognized for its integrity as a partner to the world's largest electronics corporations, including AS Rock, Canon , Johnson, Konka, LG, Mattel, Mabuchi, Philips, Panasonic, Sony, Sanyo, Solectron, Sanmina, Tamura, Thomson, TCL, … etc.

To cope with the ever growing demands of the metal analysis services, both of our Hong Kong and Shenzhen facilities are equipped with, a highly specific and efficient, analytical instruments (the German-made Arc-Spark OES) for our customers. The introduction of these instruments enhanced our efficiency in the aspects of R&D, evaluations and analyses. With these state-of-the-art technologies, we rigorously test and re-test our materials and products, to ensure quality and consistency.

In the year 2005, we invented our first Pb-Free Solder Alloy Compositions, titled: Pb-Free Solder Alloy Compositions Comprising Essentially Tin, Silver, Copper and Phosphorus.  The invention was patent filed at various countries, i.e. Hong Kong, PRC, Japan, US, Canada and EU.  Currently, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is collaborating with us, further exploiting the potential of this low cost Pb-Free Solder composition for the electronic assembly industry.
